Again Through the Frozen Woods

I was so impressed by the frozen forest landscape that I have seen two days ago during the ski tour, that today, I went there again! As it was quite late in the afternoon I had to move quickly so I went with my light winter running gear; winter running shoes with spikes and ski poles.

As the last days were very cold and windless, the landscape was preserved very well. However the weather will get warm again during next week, so the snow on the trees will fall down before I will have the chance to visit the place again.

I took several photos with my new phone's camera. At the end I only kept this one, converted to black and white:

Frozen Woods

The snow fall of last week-end was followed by frosty weather and a few more snow flakes. Real winter at last!  Time for skiing!

On Friday, together with my old friend Nic, I did a tour on skis through the frozen woods, on the mountains around the City of Brasov. At higher altitudes on Postavarul Mountain, the forest looked amazing! Here are two great photos I took during the tour:

Real Winter at Last!

This season, until yesterday the weather was unusually dry and except a few frosty days, also unusually warm. So it did not feel like winter at all! However, things changed last night. At last! It started to snow last evening, it snowed all night and continued to snow today for the whole day!

So nice was the landscape today, that I had to take my camera and do a slow walk through the forest. It was a perfect winter day! Here are some of the best shots from today's walk.
